Ikuma is walking on the same empty hall he has walked through for the past 2 years, his ship called the "Makie" is enormous, housing over 800 of the best soldiers in the military, though at this hour they are all sleeping in their quarters. He is taking a walk as he is restless, he has been ordered to attack a very important numahn ship yard with 10 other ships that will join them the next day. Every time a battle is imminent his mind races very quickly, things like how many of his friends will he see again and if he will walk away from this one after so many years... With the way things are now, he won't be getting any sleep soon.
"I wonder how Norma and Alexis are doing?" he said making a small eco in the cold hall, he was thinking about his sisters, to which he last heard still lived in Jupiter, the problem was the last time he saw them was 4 years ago.
He took out a cigarette and lit it up, it was a temporary escape from his racing mind though it didn't work for long. Taking a long puff, he leaned on the wall and stared up at the ceiling - "I have to be strong for my family, I'll bear the burden of war so they don't have to."
Finishing his cigarette, he kept walking until he reached the rest area, it was made up of the same cold metal that covered the entire ship, but at least here he could see a small garden they kept which was illuminated by a dim white light. The light made one flower in particular glow more than the others, it was his favorite, he promised to take it back home with him to show his family something beautiful instead of a face scarred by war.
Another sight to behold was the window next to the garden, a force field acted as the glass which let him watch many of the stars across the galaxy with a simple touch and voice command - "zoom in on this area please" - he says to the ship's computer, the window then shifts to a view of the far away solar system he so longed to go back to, he stared at it for a while, fully aware that tomorrow any distraction or any show of weakness like this would surely get him killed.
"All right, time to get back to the here and now" he said while walking away back to his quarters, tomorrow was a big battle and his comrades will need his leadership more than ever, as he had a bad feeling about the whole fight.

Klaus blocked furiously as the sword flashed towards him, he parried and blocked, moving and swaying with the directions of the attack. He chose his moment and counter attacked. He parried the lunge and went straight into his own lunge, aiming straight for his opponent’s chest. As the sword struck the white cloth of his opponent a buzzer went off. Klaus bowed low to his opponent and then took off his fencing helmet. Fencing was one of Klaus's passions, he enjoyed it immensely. "Another good match Francis. You gave me a real test this time." Francis had been his fencing partner for around four years now, Klaus was still unbeaten. He bowed once more and walked out of the small training room. His hair was plastered to the side of his face, the sweat pouring off him. He needed a good long hot shower. He walked along the corridor, passing his crew as he went along. He now had 500 crew members on his ship the "Black Eagle". What made it even more special were they were all his own people. He entered the elevator, and said Captains Quarters, the elevator began to move. He grabbed a quick shower, and put on his white suit with purple trimming, he threw on his dark purple cloak and left his room. Once more he entered the elevator and set off towards the bridge. He needed a status report on the arming of the ships cannons and the small repairs that needed to be done before tomorrow’s operation. The elevator doors slid open, revealing the large bridge, consoles were spread around the room and the front wall was completely made of glass, the stars shone bright, and every now and again a warship would shift slowly past. He went and sat on his large black leather chair at the centre of the room, with a large plasma screen in front of it. “Captain on the Bridge!” shouted an ensign. “Status report gentlemen please.” The large plasma screen that stood in front of his chair lit up with different documents and schematics, showing the repairs that had been done. He spent the next fifteen minuets going through each of the filed reports, sending messages to ones that needed more work and cancelling the completed tasks off the list. When he was satisfied that everything that was needed to be done was done, he left the bridge. Tomorrow was a big day, there was a meeting with the generals in the morning and he needed some sleep before he had to use his brain again. He stood up and stretched his back clicking as he did so, even at 27 he felt old. The top of his right arm started to itch, it was infuriating not being able to scratch the scar tissue hidden beneath the alloy arm. He strolled off the bridge, and re-entered the elevator, choosing his destination as the Captains Quarters, he yawned once more as he stepped back out of the elevator. Was he really this tired? He was out of shape. He walked slowly over towards his door, his eyes feeling heavy, and ready to close. He stretched out and entered the six number pin on his doorway, the door sliding open. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.

Franciska sat in the captain's chair of the Reconqusiara searching datafile after datafile for every piece of information available about the next encounter with humanity on the Shipyards of Albasura. Early indications from reconnaissance had suggested that as many 15 cruisers would appear as a part of the UP fleet with the additional support vessels needed to protect such a frigate from any other types of encounter that might occur on the way to this remote but vital support bay for the NUG.
Reconqusiara was a well armed but fast destroyer manned with 300 of the best troops available to her. Specially chosen for their prowess in both combat and the academy, Franciska felt honoured to be allowed to lead this specific troop. She had been blessed going into this battle, allowing her the chance to make up for the passing of her family, she felt that she had a lot to prove, especially since reports of the Kaiser's own ship arriving to the battlefield as well.
She once more read through every report given to her, the attack strategies used by the UP, whatever ship schematics that the espionage teams had managed to uncover, every little detail that could be obtained about each of the admirals in this fleet. she always wanted to go into battle prepared both mentally and physically. As soon as she had finished reading each of the documents one last time, she went to her quarters.
She was glad for the chance to relax and work off some steam before the battle for tomorrow. After offering prayer to the one true god, Franciska made her way to the training room. Everything had been set up for her as planned, the attack dummy, the weights, the treadmill and the aerobics rings and pummel horse. She needed this workout more than anything else, the chance to work off the stresses of the day without being watched by anyone else, it gave her a better sense of well-being. She continued long into the night, using all the equipment to maximum potential, using every muscle in her body. Tomorrow was going to be a long day after all...

Seven held the tablet in his hand and skimmed through his brief again. He had been assigned to the Makie, a Battleship under the command of one Captian Ikuma. He search the databases for his records and scanned through them, noting the number of battles and some significant victories, and the losses he also suffered. He had a knack for survival, once managing to escape a situation that could have guaranteed the death of some men.
He put the tablet down and tapped the table with a metallic finger. Outside the window the stars left trails as the transport travelled towards its destination, a low hum rumbling through the walls as the drive propelled the ship along. The trip had been long and was going to take longer still, but that never bothered him too much, he took the time to make sure he knew more then enough about his assigned mission.
Turning to lean with his back against the wall and feet resting along the chair, he picked the tablet up again and sort what recent intel had been gathered on the shipyard, even going so far as looking a sighted and estimated resource intake of the humongous structure, looking for anything that might suggest that the Numahs had something planned that the UP intelligence hadn't gathered. Spreading his search further out, he examined recent events close to the shipyard, to see if any hidden plans could have had been set in motion.
In the background the drive rumbled away, taking the craft closer and closer to the Makie and the impending battle.

Tsukiko's finger tightened on the trigger as she took a deep breath to steady her aim, her sights lined up slightly higher than the area of the target she wanted to hit. Time seemed to stop for a moment, all sounds of gunfire around her muted as she focused intently. Squeezing only a millimetre more, the round leapt from the barrel and hit the mark dead centre, the paper barely twitching from the impact. She lowered the pistol, her thumb finding the catch to release the empty mag from it's housing into her waiting palm.
"Tsu...."
Closing her eyes for a second Tsukiko's brow furrowed in annoyance.
"Tsukiko....?"
Casting a quick glance over her shoulder, Tsukiko sighed heavily. Aina was dressed in her civvies, her hands clasped nervously behind her back as if she knew what was coming, and the same old irritating grin plastered across her face. Returning her attention to the ammunition table to her right, she took a handful of 9mm rounds from the box and slid them, one by one, into the clip.
"What can I do for you Aina?" She didn't even bother to mask the aggravation in her voice. The poor girl shifted awkwardly before taking a deep breath and answering, her voice loosing none of it's bright, friendly charm.
"A few of us are heading down to the bar... You know... To relax before tomorrows big assault... We thought you might like to join us...?" Aina smiled hopefully at the back of her old friend's head.
"Drinking before a battle is unwi..."
"Oh... We're not drinking alcohol...." Aina interrupted "We just want to get together... This might be our last...
"Even so... I'd rather make sure I'm ready..."
"You don't have to... You're the best shot on the ship..."
"Arrogance will lead to defeat" Tsukiko mumbled as she slapped the mag home, slid back the bolt and aimed once again.
Aina's shoulders visibly dropped as she hung her head, her spirit finally broken by her friend's harsh, cold demeanour,
"Well you know where we are if you change your mind... I just wish I knew..." Failing to complete her sentence, the deflated girl shuffled out of the shooting range without even waiting for a reply.
Glad to finally be rid of the nuisance, Tsukiko once again focused on the target, already peppered with holes, she repositioned her feet, disturbing some of the casings that littered the floor beneath her.
Tomorrow..... is just another day....[avatar]http://i40.tinypic.com/2j49bir.jpg[/avatar]

Sitting on his desk, he was going through a lot of reports from intelligence about the Shipyards of Albasura, no detail was too important to overlook, he had learn that a long time ago.
Stretching his arms, his communicator beeps with urgency - "Sir, Agent 7 has just arrived and is docking on gate 4." Ikuma puts everything down, suddenly remembering all about this cyborg that was coming on board, if his information was correct he was built by the same UP research division but nothing else but his missions were on his database, no name or details about a private life were available.
"Understood, I will greet him personally." He got up from his chair and walked all the way to the gate, greeting and smiling everyone he walked past, it would seem he was not the only one not getting any sleep.
He really was happy to see everyone, particularly his first officer and friend, her name is Aidee and she was always by his side for all of the ships operations, she was already at gate 4 when he arrived.
"Aidee, you always seem to be one step ahead of me" Ikuma says with a bright smile, she has shown potential to be the captain herself of any ship in the UP fleet but has refused the promotion, he never exactly knew the reason behind this but he appreciated having her by his side.
"Well someone needs to keep this ship in check" - she may sound cold hearted to some, but Ikuma knew she was actually one of the nicest girls he has ever known, he would be struck by shyness around her if he did not know her.
She returns his smile with an equally bright one, many have always suspected something going on between those two, but they both knew duty was first. - "Anything you know about agent 7?" - she asks breaking their eye contact. - "All that was in the reports was that any mission involving him resulted in a win for the UP, nothing else at all."
The ship was just about to dock, and they both stood outside, waiting to greet this individual.

Klaus sat up in bed, he itched at the scar tissue around his alloy arm. Why does it always itch? Even after this long. His raised his hand to his aching head and swept the hair out of his face. He hated this feeling of not being entirely whole. It made him feel almost non human. He rolled out of bed, staggering to his feet. He was always like this in the morning, tired, groggy and most of all in a foul mood. He walked over to the coffee machine, still holding the right side of his head in his hands. d*mned This Eye! he said out loud, slamming his fist into the metallic wall. He took a deep breathe, and poured himself a large cup of coffee, drinking the luke warm mixture in one go. He gave his arm another scratch for good measure before heading off towards the shower.
Klaus stepped out of the bathroom his body still steaming slightly. Today was going to be a long day. He had a meeting with the main officers of the small fleet that had assembled, it was aboard the Battleship Makie, he had never met the captain and hoped that he was much more a real gentleman than most of the other Generals in the UP.
Klaus did up the last button on his UP uniform and pulled on the UP armband. He looked himself over in the wall length mirror opposite his bunk. His Jet black suit jacket had two sets of blood red buttons down the middle as well as a blood red high collar. His planet and his country's flags proudly were sewn onto his left arm. Five stars donned his collar, showing his rank of General. His trousers were also made of fine Jet black cotton, two blood red stripes also ran down the outside of his legs. His shining army boots covering his feet. He pinned his German star the the left breast of his uniform and walked out of his quarters.
He eventually made his way down to the Hanger bay, Francis was there talking to his chief engineer. Francis was dressed in his matching black and red uniform, his short blond hair combed back and jelled. "Morning Gentlemen, I hope all is well." Klaus saluted the two men as he approached. "All is well Your Highness" said the chief engineer. "The transport is fulled and ready, I have got Axel to pilot sire!" The chief engineer stood to attention and saluted him. "Very good thank you chief" Klaus still felt the right hand side of his brain pounding inside his head. He watched as the chief walked back into the hanger, towards the parked fighters further down. There was atleast 100 men and women outfitting them with weapons and fuel, ready for the next mission. He turned to Francis, "Lets go, we have work to do" his orders sounded a little more harsh than he intended, the d*mned eye again! "Yes sire!" Francis snapped to attention and set off towards the small transport.
Klaus and Francis were sat in the small space of the transport, the low hum of the engine reaching their ears. "You look bad this morning old friend" said Francis in a concerned way. "It this d*mned new eye!" snapped Klaus, "It hurts like hell, i knew i should of had the doctor look at it before we left mars. Francis plucked two small pills out of his top pocket and grabbed a bottle of water from the tray near the door. "There u go, that should sort you out, well at least for the meeting" Francis smiled as he spoke. "Thanks" Klaus dropped the two pain killers down his throat. Twenty minuets passed as they hummed along, Francis and Klaus talked of the new members of crew they had taken on, and how this battle would test their nerves as well as their brains.
"Sire, we are approaching the Makie" Said Axel over the PA system. "Very good Axel, let them know we are coming aboard" said klaus, "Aye Aye captain." Axel turned to radio adjusting to the outside fleet frequency. "This is Axel Witsul, of the Black Eagle, approaching the battleship Makie, Permission to land. Over" The small transport slowly approached the Makie and awaited the reply. its engines humming and giving off a low hum as it approached.

The hum of the drive began to die down, telling Seven that the ship must be getting close to the Makie. Putting the tablet down, he reached under the table and grabbed a large duffer bag, lifted it easily onto the table with a clank. A dull thud came as the ship clamped into place, several more sounding as the lock rammed into place, shortly followed by the pilot calling through on the intercom to inform him he had arrived.
Seven was wearing his UP uniform, tailored to his unusual body, with the armband and stripes a frosty blue-grey, but bore no insignia of rank. The uniform was more a formality to cover his metallic skin then anything else, it tended to disturb people, but that he tried to put that to the back of his mind. Oh how he hated being in around lots of people.
The door of the airlock hissed as pistons moved, releasing pressure on the air seals. He approached the transports airlock and slung the bag over his shoulder as the doors slid aside, revealing a man and a woman standing on the other side, stood ready to meet him. The man had the insignia of a Captain, and his face matched the record, though maybe a bit more weathered and worn, showing the years between the picture and today. The woman next to him held the rank of Commander, and no doubt his second-in-command. He strode over to them, his feet clanking as metal feet made contact with metal floor, and pressed a few buttons on his tablet before offered it to the Captain.
"My 'papers' Captain Ikuma, I am to be station on this ship under your command, to ensure the success of this mission." His voice was slightly deep, rough and sharp at the same time. He gave a light salute, his hand moving as if it wear his own flesh and blood.
"The Admiral also wishes to inform you that he is looking forward to seeing your report, and to my report, on this battle."
He raised a hand up to his face and removed the mask like re-breather that he wore, sliding it into a section specially designed to hold it on the back of his wait. Then his visor raised up on its own, revealing his face entirely, the pale skin, and his eyes that bled from blue in the middle of the iris to the crimson red of the edges.

Watching Agent 7 take his helmet off, Ikuma and Aidee were a bit shocked at what they were looking at, although they were easily able to keep their composure. "Just what happened to you?" - was his first thought, someday he will investigate him even further.
Ikuma decides to look at the papers Agent 7 gave him, it all seemed to be in order - "Very good, it is nice to meet you Agent 7, please come with us and we will show you your quarters." He had never met anyone that had received extensive cybernetic changes to his body like him, he was not sure if he could fully trust him.
His communicator suddenly started to call him - "Sir, the Black Eagle has just arrived is requesting permission to dock" - His fellow soldiers are all arriving now, it was time to plan this battle, and plan it well. - "Very well, let him dock on gate number 5."
The black eagle was the ship that Mars provided, so he knew it should be well equipped, but he wanted to question Agent 7 a bit more - "Aidee, can you go greet the ships captain please? I will take Agent 7." Aidee gave a slight nod and walked toward gate 5.
"Well then, let us proceed to your quarters." Walking with him he had wondered for a few moments just what he could ask him, or even if he would respond, but he tried anyway.
"I would like to hear from you your exact orders and in what way you can help us."
While talking to him all of the other ships sent to this fight by the UP started to dock near the Makie, it wasn't big enough to let them all in of them so some of them sent shuttles to land inside the Makie.
The meeting was to take place in about half an hour so he had to make this quick.
In the meantime Aidee was walking toward the gate and her mind was also racing - "Something just does not feel right about it all, I just hope everything turns out ok, if anything we can retreat." Aidee would never let anyone hear this from her, but Ikuma has heard it a few times, someone she trusts.
She approached the black eagle, ready to meet the captain there.

"Black eagle, this is the Makie. Permission to dock agreed, please proceed to dock 5" Said the communicator from the Makie, "Acknowledged Makie, proceeding to dock 5" Axel said back over the radio, he turned his radio back to internal comms, "Sir, we shall be docking at Gate 5 in five minuets" "Thanks Axel, take us in carefully. This new transport costs me lots of money" Klaus chuckled at the small joke, Axel was his best pilot and he had every faith in what ever he did. He ran his hand through his white blonde hair, the pain in his eye had dulled as the small white pills had taken affect. Francis was set next to him he could hear the ticking as he read and typed his reports on the small tablet, "Have a break Francis, well be arriving soon and i want to you fully concentrated on the people at the meeting" Klaus smiled, Francis was another one he trusted with his life, he was a workaholic and had been not only his assistant but his first officer since the beginning of his military career. He was beside him during the great destruction, and he hoped he would be around him for years to come. He game him a sense of safety. Klaus leaned back, Francis had taken no notice of his suggestion of a break and was still typing furiously on his tablet, he looked up for a second, "Some one has to do some work around here" He went straight back to typing.
It took then as Axel said just under five minuets to reach Gate Five of the Makie, "Starting docking procedures" Came over the Comms. The low hum of the engine dropped to no more than a tiny vibration the ships speed reducing dramatically. A loud clunk sounded as the docking gate extended from the transport towards the Makie. Another loud clunk sounded as it attached itself to the gate on the outside of the Makie.
Kalus stood up, "Right, lets go meet our new friends!" said Klaus, Francis stood up and tucked his small tablet into his suit jacket. They both walked towards the exit hatch as it opened into the tunnel leading to the Makie. "Thanks Axel, back in a few hours. Take a break pilot" Klaus carried on walking, straightening both his hair and uniform as he went, eventually reaching the door to the Makie. A loud hiss was emitted as the Air lock opened. On the other side was stood a young lady, her uniform had orange stripes, signaling she was from the planet Jupiter. She looked professional, and seemed to hold the rank of First Officer. "Gutentaug, Fraulein, I am HRH Klaus Hemmeir, it is nice to meet you" Klaus smiled as he held out his hand. Francis stood at his back, saluting to the senior officer.

Franciska finished her workout feeling that a huge weight had been lifted of her shoulders for the time being, even though the dreaded battle was still looming over her like a cloak of the reaper, ready to engulf them all.
She disliked the analogies she had been given by her father and tried to shake them out of her thought as she came across one of the junior officer by the name of Aina wearing simple civilian clothing. "Aina, is that you?" She called, rubbing some of the sweat away from her brow. She realised that she was still in her gym-wear, not a good sight to be showing any of her lower officers but their was little she could do.
"Yes ma'am" little Aina stuttered, not totally sure what to do in the situation. "Do you know where Tsukiko is by any chance, last I heard you two were quite close friends." Franciska replied, hoping to get the conversation over and done with as fast as possible. "She in the range miss, practicing as always if you don't mind me saying" Aina carried on, really worried about what the commander could want with her friend. "Thank you, I let you continue on your way, remember, don't drink too much, early start tomorrow." Franciska replied, realising she sounded more like a mother than a commanding officer.
As the young officer disappeared for her rendezvous, Franciska made her way back to her room to change into her own civvies. It been awhile since she took the chance to relax but she felt like it was a good chance to. Changing into a long, black, spaghetti strap dress, she decided to take a walk down to the range to check on her top gunner. She needed to make sure that everyone was feeling their best.
She quietly knocked on the door of the gun-range, hearing the firing from inside she assumed that Tsukiko was still busy. She opened the door gently and watched the young woman practicing, hoping not to disturb... [avatar]http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b131/MarieChloeduVisionaire/Franciska.jpg[/avatar]

Seven followed the Captain, expecting the question that came not too long later. He would have been more surprised if he hadn't, anyone who had reached Captain had to have some smarts about them.
"My orders are always strictly classified, whether or not there are more then you are authorised to see. All I am cleared to say is that I shall be serving under you and reporting back to my superior after the battle is concluded."
The bag he had slung over his should made a faint clunking noise as he walked, and combined with his feet on the floor made a faint and almost rhythmic sound. His eyes watch everything that happened around him, taking in even the colour of the stripes on shipmates uniforms. Course, a good number of the shipmates were looking back, not sure what to make of him, something Seven knew he would need to get used to while on this mission.

Despite the thunderous gunfire, Tsukiko's finely tuned senses detected a gentle tapping at the door. She managed to hold her concentration, resisting the urge to tilt her head and see who had entered until she had emptied yet another clip into the heavily perforated target. Striking the button beside her, Tsu turned, hoping she didn't have to disappoint another of her friends as she cast a cynical eye towards the door.
Her harsh expression melted instantly as her gaze met the bright red irises of the woman she respected and admired in equal measure, her captain. Standing immediately to attention, Tsukiko broke eye contact and saluted, despite her commanding officer's relaxed, elegant attire; the range falling silent, save for the gentle whirring of the pulleys bringing her tattered target forward. Aidee salutes as well, she had previously heard of the kingdom of new germany but never read up on any of it's history, but their leader seemed to look friendly enough... except for that odd eye of his.
"Welcome to the Makie, the meeting is about to start, please follow me to the meeting area."
As she walked she could hear through the intercom every leader of the fight landing on the ship were being directed to the same place, the time had to come to decide how the battle is going to be fought.
While Aidee walked with them, Ikuma heard agent 7's answer and was not satisfied by what he said, he knew he would not get many answers out of him and decided to take this to his superiors. - "Very well, we don't have time to get into any further details so please accompany me to the meeting area when you are ready as we are about to start."
He leaves the agent behind and heads to the meeting, walking in there he finds all leaders have already taken their seat and were ready to make their strategy.

Klaus, politely lowered his hand, as the officer in front of him did not shake it. Although he considered it bad mannered he tried his best to ignore it. He followed the officer down the corridor, his feet making a slight clanging sound on the metal walkway, his black and red cloak billowing slightly as he walked. He held his hands behind his back fidgeting slightly as battle strategies as well as politics flickered through his mind. Francis followed close behind tablet in hand, eyes focused on past battle reports. Without Francis Klaus would be lost, he read through battle reports as if they were single sentences. This meant that Klaus could always count on him for facts and figures during a meeting.
The First officer led them into the meeting room, there were the usual fat generals sat round a huge table, they were useless. They seemed to always use the same tactics in a battle, and 90% of the time, it went drastically wrong. It seemed that to them the fact that human lives were lost did not even register on their unused brains. Klaus sat down onto the small metal chair, Francis took up his position behind him, ready to take notes. "Good Evening Gentlemen a pleasure to see you all once again, and to those i have yet to meet. I extend to you the hand of friendship."
Klaus crossed his legs as he spoke, his face neutral, neither smiling at anyone or frowning at anyone. He had gotten used to keeping everyone on the right side of him, when ruling such a small kingdom it was important to keep everyone your friend. He awaited for the rest of the chairs to be filled, and the meeting to eventually begin.
